What is scalp micropigmentation ?
Scalp micro pigmentation is a process by which natural or pathological balding or hairline recession is reversed through the use of biological pigments placed in the epidermal layer of the scalp, similar to tattooing. The pigments used in micro pigmentation are usually biological and are carefully selected to ensure that they mimic one’s natural look as much as possible.
Hairline recession and balding are biological processes that are caused by many factors. However, people who suffer from them may end up having their self-esteem affected. Micropigmentation is one of the many methods of restoring a more youthful look as far as scalp hair is concerned.
It is a tattoo?
The process itself is similar to that of a tattoo but with some key differences.
The needles and the technique we use for scalp micro pigmentation is a 3-round micro needle to implant the pigment into the upper layer of your scalp that replicates your hair follicles. The equipment a permanent makeup hand devise and the micro needle allow us to provide our clients with the illusion of a natural looking hair follicle, ensuring the needle and machine are designed specifically for micro pigmentation giving our clients the clean look filling and a natural appearance.
Will the pigment change color?
No. Scalp micro pigmentation is a form of permanent cosmetics, but unlike regular tattooing or permanent makeup, we use natural pigments is designed to fall within the same color spectrum of a shortcut hair. Outlineink Studios we create up to 70 different types of shades to match any hair color ever salt and pepper (grey hair). The pigments contain no additional colorants or additives and will only lighten not discolor.

do I need to take time off work?
Scalp micropigmentation is non-invasive and requires no downtime. In most cases, you will not need to take any extended time away from work, school, or other functions. After treatment, it is common to notice slight redness on the scalp for 1-2 days post session. This redness subsides quickly and most clients return to work either right away. Clients are also allowed to wear hats or headwear should they feel the need.
How much does it cost?
Our pricing is based on the level of hair loss, which is different for each client. Typically, the price ranges between $1,200 – $3,800. How long do the results last?
After completion of your treatment (3 sessions) a client should expect the strength of the color to last for many years, depending upon the immune system and sun exposure. Over a longer term, a client will very gradually begin to notice slight lightening (not discolor) of the treatment. When this occurs they can undergo a brief “touch up” session to restore any fading and secure many more years of their style.
